More patine...

Sorry for my lack of posts, I promise to post more regularly from now on....

I love the way that patine can change the most simple objects such as the chair and console in the photo above.

I am always amazed how patine makes something old and often quite ordinary into something that looks new and fabulous.....

This is the bed end before it was painted and.....

..............after it has had the patine paint effect applied. What a transformation!

Patine Paint Effect Spring 2010 Workshops

Details for the Patine Spring Workshops are as follows:

Saturday 24 & Sunday 25 April 2010

Saturday 1st and sunday 2nd May 2010

The workshops run for two days, during which time you will learn how to apply the patine paint technique to your items that you choose to bring with you.
Note due to space constraints in the studio, you are limited to two smallish items.

Price for the workshop only is 150 which includes all materials and refreshments/lunch on both days .

Price including 2 nights accommodation at Maison No.20 is 300 euros.

From Bedposts to Bedside lamps

I've just found a couple of pairs of old bedposts (actually they might be old table legs) in my garage. Don't ask me why I decided to start the clean out in such freezing temperatures... but it was worth fossicking around in there to see what was left! Sometime over the coming weeks we could use them to make a pair of these together - while we still need inside light - before the spring comes! What do you think friends?
